Meet Amy

Amy Neufeld, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the creator of Intentional Action Therapy (IAT), a structured, skills-based approach designed to move clients from insight into meaningful, measurable change.

With more than 20 years in education and psychology, Amy specializes in working with children, adolescents, and parents navigating emotional overwhelm, family transitions, and life’s pivotal moments. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Amy’s work is rooted in the belief that therapy should be both psychologically safe and forward-moving. Through IAT, she blends clinical depth with practical action, helping clients understand what’s happening beneath the surface while building tools they can use in real life. Her style is warm, thoughtful, and grounded, with a natural balance of compassion, clarity, and humor.

Amy lives in Laguna Beach, California with her three sons. When she’s not in session, she’s nurturing her family, refining her model, and continuing to build a practice where growth feels possible and sustainable.
