Meet Amy

Amy Neufeld, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the creator of Intentional Action Therapy (IAT), a structured, action-focused approach designed to move clients beyond awareness and into meaningful, measurable change.

With more than 30 years in education and psychology, Amy specializes in working with adults, children, teens, parents and co-parents navigating emotional overwhelm, family transitions, and life’s pivotal moments. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Amy’s work is rooted in the belief that therapy should be both clinically-informed and forward-moving. Through IAT, she integrates psychoeducation with intentional action that translates insight into lived change. Her style is warm, thoughtful, and grounded, balancing compassion with clarity.

Amy lives in Laguna Beach, California with her three sons. When she’s not in session, she’s hiking the trails, walking the beach, dragging herself to pilates and outsmarting escape rooms with her kids.
